Meet Dr. Clint K. Taura
Clint is a dentist passionate about guiding his patients towards a lifetime of oral health. At Japantown Dental, we care deeply about educating patients on oral health issues and coaching them on disease prevention and management. Clint and his team believe in the art of maintaining lifelong smiles. From artistically recreating a smile cosmetically, conservatively saving enamel through bioemulation, practically treating TMJ issues, managing challenging mouths of our neighborhood seniors, or finding creative ways to educate our patients of all ages, we believe in the art and science of keeping your mouths happy.
Clint trained at the prestigious University of the Pacific, Dugoni School of Dentistry, Foundations in Advanced Continuing Education (F.A.C.E), Spear Education and at the Veterans Affairs Mare Island general practice residency. He is devoted to practicing evidence-based and minimally invasive dentistry, and utilizing the talented specialists in the Bay Area to optimize clinical results for the patient.
Clint received his B.S. in Biology at UCLA and his D.D.S. at the University of the Pacific. Following his residency at the VA Mare Island GPR, he continued the legacy practices of Drs. Shinbori and Fong after their retirements. He holds membership in the San Francisco Dental Society, California Dental Association, American Dental Association, F.A.C.E Gnathology Study Club, and the Spear Study Club. In the past, he has served as faculty at the UOP School of Dentistry, board member of SFDS, and volunteer dentist at the Berkeley Free Clinic.
As a native San Franciscan (NLF, Clarendon, Stuart Hall, SHCP), he loves staying involved with the local community. Attending local festivals with his wife and two young children are what he enjoys most.
